Union of Arab Chambers Discusses Cooperation with Fujairah, Ajman and Sharjah Chambers

Mohamad Abdo Saeed, President of the Union of Arab Chambers, accompanied by Shaheen Ali Shaheen, Assistant Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers, met with the Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, H.E Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the Union and the Chamber in ways that contribute to the promotion of comprehensive and sustainable economic development in the Arab countries, and to strengthen cooperation between the Member Chambers as well.
The two sides also discussed opportunities to increase investment and trade exchanges between the Arab Business communities and the business community in Sharjah and ways to encourage businessmen and Arab companies to benefit from the attractive investment opportunities available in Sharjah and its prosperous economic environment. In this context, the President of the Union of Arab Chambers praised the comprehensive development witnessed by Sharjah and its growing economic role in the region and the World. He expressed the keenness of the Sharjah Chamber to support the Joint-Arab Economic Action and its Initiatives aimed at upgrading the Arab private sector.
For his part, the Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) said, "the Chamber looks forwards to support all efforts directed towards enhancing cooperation between the Arab business community and developing investment and commercial relations at the level of the Arab private sector and in a sustainable manner across various economic and development fields."
During his visit to UAE, the President of the Union met with the Chairman of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Khalifa Al-Kaabi.
Al-Kaabi also expressed the enthusiasm of the Chamber to enhance cooperation with the Union of Arab Chambers in ways that contribute to the promotion of comprehensive and sustainable economic development in Arab countries and to build strong ties between the Member Chambers.
He pointed out that Fujairah has become a unique destination and a leading commercial hub in the region, attracting foreign investments, and taking advantage of its strategic location between Oman and the Indian Ocean, serving as a global platform in the field of energy, and an important destination for tourism.
Mr. Mohamad Abdo Saeed also visited the headquarters of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and met its Chairman H.E. Abdullah Mohammed Al Muwaja. The meeting was also attended by Shaheen Ali Shaheen, UAC Assistant Secretary General, H.E. Hamad Rashid Al Nu’aimi 1st Vice-Chairman of Ajman Chamber, Salem Al Suwaidi, Ajman’s Chamber GM, and Mohammad Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of Investment Development and Business Sector.
Al Muwaja expressed the keenness of Ajman Chamber to enhance its relations with UAC and to participate in various meetings and events organized by the Union, praising the efforts of the Union and its leading role towards linking all Arab Chambers of Commerce & Industry, which reflected positively on the Arab private sector and contributed to the growth of the Economic sector in General.
