Kuwait's budget has achieved a financial surplus by the end of October exceeding 3 billion dinars, or about 10 billion dollars during the first seven months of the fiscal year 2018/2019, as per the Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance.
The State revenues recorded 12 billion dinars, against expenses of 7.5 billion dinars. KD 1.2 billion was deducted for the benefit of future generations. The budget surplus after deducting the reserve for future generations was about 2 billion dinars.
The surplus came as a result of the rise in oil prices since the beginning of the fiscal year of Kuwait in April until last October.
In parallel, the value of projects since the beginning of the year amounted to KD 1.1 billion (about USD 3.6 billion), which represents 29 percent of the total value of projects planned for this year, which is 3.8 billion dinars (about 12.5 billion dollars).
