Qatar Chamber Discusses Strengthening Cooperation Relations with Italy

Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, the President of Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry, met with Mrs. Licia Mattioli the Vice President of the Federation of Italian Industries, in the presence of Pasquale Salzano, the Italian Ambassador to the State of Qatar, at the Chamber headquarters. They discussed during the meeting the ways of enhancing the cooperation relations between the Chamber and the Federation, supporting the trade & economic relations between the two friendly countries and the opportunities in Qatar and Italy. They also talked about exchanging the business visits and exploiting the investment opportunities in both countries.

Sheikh Khalifa highlighted the strong relations between the State of Qatar and the Italian Republic at various levels, especially in the fields of trade and investment, pointing out that "there are many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the industrial sectors."

He added: "the State of Qatar is witnessing an industrial renaissance in various fields, especially the food industry, which has witnessed steady growth over the last two years, as well as the great opportunities offered by the hydrocarbon industries in Qatar, which can be exploited by the Italian side, especially that Qatar seeks to focus on industries that depend on Modern technology, which is what the Italian industry has."
