The Assets of the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia Amounts to SAR 1.821 Trillion

The reserve assets abroad at the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia, amounted to about 1.674 trillion riyals at the end of October 2020, compared to 1.678 trillion riyals at the end of September. These reserves are divided into about 1.642 trillion riyals of assets, which include investments in securities and cash deposits abroad, in addition to the value of 30.8 billion riyals of special drawing rights, plus to 1.62 billion riyals of gold reserves.

The data released by the Saudi Central Bank "SAMA" showed an increase in investments in securities abroad from 1.053 trillion riyals at the end of last September to 1.077 trillion riyals at the end of October.

Whereas the total assets of the Saudi Central Bank amounted to about 1.821 trillion riyals at the end of October 2020, compared to 1.822 trillion riyals at the end of the previous September. Total assets in the banking system of banks in Saudi Arabia amounted to about 3.983 trillion riyals at the end of October, compared with 3.980 at the end of September. These huge banking assets are divided into several segments, the most prominent of which are two parts: the first is the value of 1.736 trillion riyals, the liabilities of banks on the private sector, and the second: the value of 1.745 trillion riyals of foreign assets, most of which belong to the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia.
