Qatar 2nd in the Arab World in the Global Information and Communication Technology Index

The Competitiveness Report 2020 issued by the World Economic Forum ranked Qatar among the top ten countries in adopting information and communication technology, flexible work arrangements, digital skills, and the digital legal framework, and it is the second Arab country in this classification.

Qatar occupied advanced positions in several areas that are among the main pillars covered in the report. Qatar was ranked first in the Arab world and among the top 10 countries in many indicators, for example, in the institutional pillar, Qatar ranked seventh in the world in the "Efficiency of the Legal Framework" indicator, and in sixth place in the "government response to change" index, while it ranked eighth in the "long-term government vision" index.

It should be noted that the Global Competitiveness Report 2020 is a special edition this year, as the usual classifications of the report have been temporarily suspended due to the prevailing unusual circumstances, and the measures taken by governments in the wake of the global pandemic and economic recession, as the report focused on recovery and recovery priorities, he assessed the most important characteristics that helped countries manage the pandemic, and provided an analysis of countries most ready for economic transformation that included systems that work on the basis of a combination of productivity and people.
