FDI Inflow in Saudi Arabia Increased by 10.2 Percent

Foreign direct investment in Saudi Arabia in the first quarter of this year grew year-on-year by 10.2 percent to 8.1 billion riyals ($2.1 billion).

According to the Ministry of Economy and Planning, real GDP increased year-on-year in the first quarter of this year by 3.8 percent. While the unemployment rate for Saudis in the first quarter reached 8.5 percent, and the volume of citizens' participation in the labor market reached 52.4 percent, during the first quarter of this year. The volume of deposits of government and semi-government agencies and agencies reached 623 billion riyals ($166 billion), up 19.4 percent month-on-month.
