UAE Central Bank: Sector Loan Growth of AED 1.22 Trillion

The UAE Central Bank revealed that loans granted grew by 4 percent to 1.94 trillion dirhams in July 2023.

Loans to the private sector rose 5 percent year-on-year to 1.22 trillion dirhams in July this year, the report showed. Loans to the public sector increased by 7 percent to AED 268 billion.

Loans to individuals increased by 10 percent year-on-year to around AED 397 billion in the same period. Loans to the commercial and industrial sectors increased by about 3 percent to AED 826 billion.
