Eurozone Economy Contracts by 0.1 Percent

Data from the European Statistical Office "Eurostat" showed that the euro area economy contracted by 0.1 percent in the third quarter of 2023, compared to the previous quarter.

According to the data, the Eurozone economy recorded growth of 0.1 percent in the third quarter, compared to the same period in 2023. Inflation across the Eurozone also fell to a two-year low of 2.9 percent in October, down from 4.3 percent the previous month.

Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, fell to 4.2 percent year-on-year in October from 4.5 percent in September.
