12% increase in passenger numbers through Beirut airport in 2023

The movement of Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut achieved an increase in the number of passengers to and from Lebanon during the past year 2023, as the year 2023 recorded at its end 7.12 million passengers compared to 6.34 million passengers who used the airport during the year 2022, an increase of more than 12%.

July 2023 was the highest month in terms of passenger numbers through the airport, followed by August, where July recorded 924,000, an increase of 12.14 percent from July 2022. Also in July 2023, the highest percentage of arrivals to Lebanon was 504026 (an increase of 8.79% compared to July 2022). As for the month of August 2023, the highest number of departures through the airport was recorded at 533947 passengers (compared to 475107 departures in August 2022, an increase of 12.38%), and the total number of passengers in August reached 915085 passengers (compared to 796543 passengers in August 2022, a growth of 14.88%).
