Oil prices rose slightly on Tuesday, amid fears that tensions in the Middle East could disrupt supplies. However uncertainty about the pace of possible U.S. interest rate cuts and the impact on fuel demand limited gains.

Brent crude futures rose seven cents, or 0.1 percent, to $82.07 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude gained 10 cents, or 0.1 percent, to $77.02 a barrel. Oil prices were almost flat in trading on Monday, after rising 6 percent last week.
