Central Bank of India: Economic Growth Is About 8 Percent

Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has revealed that the growth of the gross domestic product of the Indian economy, in the current fiscal year, ending in March, may be very close to 8 percent.

India's economy grew 8.4 percent, its fastest pace in 18 months, in the last three months of 2023, led by strong manufacturing and construction activity.

Following this data, the government revised its growth estimate for the fiscal year 2024 through March 31 to 7.6 percent, from 7.3 percent.
