EGP 2.6 Trillion Expected Revenues in Egypt's 2024/2025 Budget

The Egyptian Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, revealed that the total expenditures of the general budget for the new fiscal year 2024-2025 amount to 3.9 trillion pounds, compared to revenues of 2.6 trillion pounds (the US dollar is equivalent to 47.1 Egyptian pounds).

Minister Maait explained, "The total public expenditures of the new budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025 amount to 3.9 trillion pounds, while the volume of expected revenues reaches 2.6 trillion pounds."

The total budget revenues for the last fiscal year 2022-2023 amounted to one trillion and 501 billion pounds, and expenses 2.13 trillion pounds. The fiscal year in Egypt begins on the first of July of each year and ends on June 30 of the following year.
