Arab-Brazilian Chamber delegation discusses with Qatar Chamber Prospects of Economic Cooperation

A delegation from the Arab-Brazilian Chamber, which included the Chamber’s Secretary General, Tamer Mansour, and the Chamber’s regional advisor to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Iraq and Yemen, Shaheen Ali Shaheen, discussed with the First Vice-President of Qatar Chamber, Mohammed bin Towar Al-Kuwari, ways to enhance trade and investment cooperation between Qatar and Brazil.

During the meeting, which was held at the Qatar Chamber headquarters in the Qatari capital, Doha, they reviewed the prospects for trade and economic cooperation between Qatar and Brazil and the opportunities available for cooperation between the private sector on both sides. The organization of the visit of a Brazilian trade delegation to Doha this month, comprising more than 50 businessmen, with the participation of the Political Affairs Adviser and some representatives of the Brazilian Parliament, was also reviewed. The delegation also invited the Qatar Chamber and Qatari business owners to participate in the Arab-Brazilian Economic Forum, which will be held next July 4 in the Brazilian city of San Paulo, under the auspices of the Brazilian President and in the presence of a large number of ministers, dignitaries and business owners from both sides.

Al-Kuwari expressed Qatar Chamber's welcome to host the Brazilian delegation in Doha, stressing that the visit will open new areas of cooperation between Qatari and Brazilian companies in various fields. He also expressed the Chamber's welcome to participate in the Arab-Brazilian Economic Forum, noting that the State of Qatar and Brazil have close relations, and that Brazil is one of the distinguished destinations for Qatari investments, as there are successful Qatari investments in various sectors. He also stressed the interest of Qatari business owners and investors in identifying opportunities for investment in Brazil.

For his part, Tamer Mansour, Secretary-General of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber, noted that Brazil is rich in many investment opportunities in many sectors, including energy and mining, calling on Qatari business owners to explore and invest in these opportunities.
