African - Arab Economic Forum

Under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, the “African-Arab Economic Forum”, held under the theme "Roadmap and Accessible Funding for Successful Investments", was launched on September 27, 2017 at the Fairmont Hotel in Amman and attended by more than 600 participants, from more than 53 countries represented by ministers and officials from both the Arab and Africa sides.

This forum was lead and managed by the Union of Arab Chambers, Jordan Chamber of Commerce, and Union of African Chambers in cooperation with the League of Arab States and Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group with the Arab Bank For Economic Development In Africa (BADEA) as strategic partner.

This Forum aims at developing and strengthening the economic, trade and cultural relations between the African and Arab private sectors. This cause is of strategic importance for the Arabs and Africans, in view of the enormous opportunities for feasible and profitable cooperation in light of the developments and reforms that took place in recent years in both regions. No doubt, the private sector has a major role in establishing an effective cooperation between Africa and the Arab world that can surely contribute towards the optimal utilization of the wealth, economic and financial resources, in addition to the expertise from both parties. Such cooperation will expand trade and investment exchanges, and foster the establishment of numerous joint projects that will meet the needs of both the Arab and the African markets.
