Decline of Foreign Investment Flows to Jordan

The volume of foreign direct investment flowing to Jordan during the first trimester of this year decreased by 54% or JOD 235.3 million compared to the same quarter last year, according to figures issued by the Jordanian Central Bank.
According to the Central Bank's monthly economic indicators, foreign investment flowing into the Kingdom during the first quarter of this year was JOD 201.5 million compared to JOD 436.8 million in the first trimester of 2017.
As for comparing the value of foreign investment during the first trimester of this year to the previous quarter, it increased by 14%, where foreign direct investment in the fourth trimester of 2017 was about 176.2 million dinars.
