The Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers, Ajlan Al-Ajlan, commented on the preliminary statement for the 2021 budget, pointing out that "the Kingdom's expectations for economic performance during the year 2020 are acceptable and good if compared to what is happening in the rest of the world."

Al-Ajlan pointed out that "this matter reflects the good management of the Kingdom's budget, as some expenditures have been directed to some important sectors such as public health, without this leading to a significant increase in expenditures," explaining that "estimates of the budget deficit during the next year will be half of this budget deficit of this year which confirms that there is prudent financial management in the Kingdom that has done this good work."

Al-Ajlan stressed that "the worst impact of the Corona pandemic has ended," noting that "the Ministry of Finance's expectations regarding economic performance during the coming period are conservative, given the breakthrough that the private sector was witnessing last year, in addition to the presence of new sectors such as the tourism and entertainment sector which started from scratch, and consequently, it will achieve great growth rates."
