Ajlan Al Ajlan: Calling on Greece to Benefit from the Saudi Investment Advantages

The Council of Saudi Chambers and the Hellenic Arab Chamber of Commerce and Development organized the virtual Saudi-Greek e-Business Gathering, with the participation of the Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmad bin Aqil Al Khatib, the Greek Minister of Tourism, Harry Theoharis, and the Minister of Development & Investment Adonis Georgiadis, the Chairperson of Council of Saudi Chambers Mr. Ajlan bin Abdulaziz Al Ajlan and the President of the Hellenic Arab Chamber Harris Geronikolas.

The Chairperson of the CSC, Ajlan Al-Ajlan affirmed the importance of the meeting as a distinct platform for the development of Saudi-Greek economic relations, as the volume of trade exchange reached 7.1 billion riyals, noting the developments in the Kingdom under Vision 2030 and the promising business opportunities in it, the environment and investment incentives, calling on the Greek business owners to take advantage of these opportunities and creating partnerships with their Saudi counterparts, in addition to entering into investment in the fields of agriculture, animal production, and food and pharmaceutical industries. As well as setting up a joint action plan to take advantage of opportunities and comparative advantages and address challenges that limit the growth of joint investments and product penetration.

For his part, the President of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber, Harris Geronikolas, considered that the Kingdom plays an important role in energy and the global economy and has an ambitious economic vision that includes broad reforms and is a destination for foreign investment, while Greece is distinguished by its strategic location as a bridge linking the East and the West and meets all requirements in terms of commercial opportunities, geographical proximity and the appropriate business climate.
