Hashim Mattar Discusses the Economic Cooperation Relations with the Egyptian Minister of Finance

The President of the General Union of Sudanese Employers, Hashim Salah Hassan Mattar, called for the implementation of the practical proposals put forward to develop the economic and investment cooperation relations between Sudan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, by agreeing to define strategic projects to be implemented as investment partnerships to become a model for exploiting the great economic opportunities for joint cooperation and serious work between the two parties, thus overcoming many of the problems and obstacles facing the development of economic cooperation relations between the two countries.

Following the joint working session between the employers' delegation and the Egyptian economic delegation headed by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Maait, and in the presence of the Governor of Khartoum Ayman Khaled Nimer, Mattar clarified that the difficulties facing the private sector in Sudan and Egypt were discussed, in order to strengthen economic and commercial cooperation relations between the two countries. In addition to dealing with banking problems with the aim of facilitating financial transfers between the two countries' banks and thus facilitating customs procedures by activating the work of the joint customs committee between the two countries.

Mattar exposed an agreement to establish a joint free industrial zone to serve the interests of the two countries and to establish industrial partnerships with the national industrial sector so that it become a center for launching industrial products to African markets.
