Net Investment in Egypt Records an Increase of 75 Percent

Net foreign direct investment in Egypt during the first half of the fiscal year 2022-2023 increased by more than 75 percent to $ 5.7 billion year-on-year.

According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), Saudi Arabia topped the list of the top ten countries investing in Egypt during the first half of the fiscal year 2022-2023, with investments amounting to $ 2.1 billion. The UAE came in second place with $1.5 billion, followed by Italy with $1.2 billion.

The number of companies established in accordance with investment laws reached 31.2 thousand companies during the fiscal year 2021-2022, an increase of 9 percent year-on-year.
