The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics revealed that the annual inflation rate of consumer prices in Egyptian cities fell to 11.7 percent in September 2025, down from 12 percent in August. The annual inflation rate for the entire republic recorded 10.3 percent in September, compared to 11.2 percent in August.
The food and beverage section registered an annual increase of (0.3%) due to the rise in the prices of the following groups: grains and bread (4.7%), fish and seafood (6.9%), dairy, cheese and eggs (1.8%), oils and fats (5.2%), fruits (45.2%), sugar and sugary foods (2.0%), other food products (6.8%), coffee, tea and cocoa (4.8%), and mineral water, soft drinks and natural juices (13.9%).
