Jordan’s Tourism Revenues Reach $6 Billion

Jordan’s tourism income rose by 1.4 percent in September, reaching $622.4 million, compared to a decline of 8.3 percent to $614 million in the same month last year.

According to data released by the Central Bank of Jordan, the country’s tourism revenues grew by 6.8 percent during the first nine months of this year to about $6 billion, compared to a 4.3 percent decline in the same period last year, when revenues stood at $5.57 billion. The increase in revenues during the first nine months of this year was supported by a 14.5 percent rise in tourist arrivals.
