Morocco’s Minister of Finance Nadia Alaoui forecasted economic growth of 4.6 percent with inflation around 2 percent in 2026. She noted that the government aims to achieve a 4.6 percent growth rate, while the draft budget projects inflation at 2 percent and a budget deficit of 3 percent. She explained that the draft budget comes amid a global context still marked by uncertainty and an international economy struggling to fully recover.

In September, the Moroccan central bank predicted a slowdown in GDP growth to 4.4 percent in 2026, compared with 4.6 percent in 2025.
