Saudi Arabia’s merchandise trade results showed a positive and notable performance during the third quarter of 2025, as the trade balance recorded a monthly surplus of about 26 billion riyals (6.9 billion dollars) in September — the highest monthly level since May 2024. It achieved an accelerated annual growth rate of 66.3 percent, marking the fastest pace of growth since August 2022.

At the quarterly level, the surplus reached 66.1 billion riyals (17.6 billion dollars) during the third quarter of the current year, registering the highest quarterly surplus since the second quarter of 2024, with an increase of 17.2 percent compared with the same period in 2024, due to total exports growing at a faster rate than imports.
