The Union of Arab Chambers, represented by its Secretary-General Dr. Khaled Hanafy, signed a memorandum of understanding with the American University of Beirut. The memorandum aims to establish cooperation between AUB and the Union in areas of mutual interest that strengthen research and dialogue on policies and sustainable economic development in the Arab region.

The Secretary-General, Dr. Khaled Hanafy, highlighted the importance of signing the agreement with the American University of Beirut, which is considered one of the most prominent educational institutions in Lebanon and the Arab world. He noted that this agreement will help reinforce scientific research, particularly in the economic field in Lebanon and the Arab region, contributing to the development of economic policies that support the growth of Arab economies.

He also emphasized that “through this important agreement, both parties — the Union of Arab Chambers and the American University of Beirut — will work together on preparing studies, surveys, and joint reports to provide evidence-based insights that enrich economic policy-making, sustainable development strategies, and the participation and presence of the private sector in the Arab world.”

He pointed out that “the agreement will also facilitate the organization of policy dialogues, stakeholder consultations, and the launch of initiatives aimed at strengthening regional integration, facilitating trade, and promoting sustainable business practices in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”

Dr. Khaled Hanafy added that “in a world undergoing major transformations — especially in the era of artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and rapid technological advancement — raising the level of education and building capabilities in the Arab region is becoming increasingly important. This includes developing academic programs, implementing executive training, and launching platforms dedicated to knowledge exchange in both Arabic and English to enhance the capacities of students, professionals, and institutions in the fields of economics, business, and sustainability.”

He also considered that “organizing and hosting academic conferences and business forums, as well as launching community awareness initiatives to foster dialogue between academia, policymakers, and the private sector, contributes to building a culture of sustainable and inclusive economic growth.”

The Union of Arab Chambers, represented by Dr. Khaled Hanafy, also signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with DNCI (Nay Productions) Offshore, a company belonging to ClinGroup Holding and represented by its Chairwoman, Dr. Nadia Choueib.

Under this agreement, the two parties will collaborate on developing and operating a corporate social responsibility assessment model called ARAB CSR Score, within a joint partnership and brand framework, with the goal of launching and managing a dedicated digital platform for this purpose.

DNCI (Nay Productions) Offshore, part of ClinGroup Holding, will develop, operate, and manage the digital platform and provide hosting, maintenance, and technical support services.
