The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency revealed that the United States collected more than $200 billion in customs duties during the current year, as a result of the new tariffs imposed by Trump since the beginning of 2025.
According to the agency, the $200 billion total is limited to customs duties imposed this year only, and does not include tariffs applied during Trump’s first term, which are not subject to legal challenges, unlike the current duties.
Customs revenue recorded its first decline since Trump announced the tariff package in April, totaling $30.8 billion, compared with $31.2 billion in October (November).
