Issue (55) of the Arab Economic Review is issued for the third quarter of 2022, including a set of distinguished studies and research that review and analyze international and Arab issues and topics that have significant impacts on Arab economies. Under the title “The year 2022 reschedules crises in the context of the new global geopolitical transformation,” the “Annual Report of the Union of Arab Chambers No. (15) on the prospects for the Arab economy” presented a thorough analysis of the repercussions of the war in Ukraine on the global and Arab economies and the resulting crises, which combined with a series of other previous and emerging crises. The "Annual Report of the Union of Arab Chambers No. (29) on the progress of work in the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone" also provides an analytical presentation of "the results of the survey of the Union of Arab Chambers on the obstacles to inter-Arab trade in light of digital transformation, sustainable development needs and global developments."

The third research deals with the development trends that will govern small and medium enterprises under the title "Future Engines for Small and Medium Enterprises". The fourth research sheds light on Yemen through the study of "the restructuring of Yemeni chambers to increase the percentage of the private sector's contribution to supporting and improving the national economy." The fifth study analyzes the network digital readiness situation in the Arab world and the requirements for progress and success under the title "Network Readiness Index 2021: Acceleration Digital Transformation & Network Readiness in the Arab World". Under the title "Transport & Logistics," the sixth study looks at the added value achieved in the shipbuilding and maintenance industry, highlighting Egypt's experience in this field and the requirements for constructive cooperation with Greece for the mutual benefit of both parties.
