  • 1 October - 31 December 2022

Issue (56) of the Arab Economic Bulletin for the fourth quarter of 2022 was issued, including a set of distinguished studies and research that review and analyze international and Arab issues and topics at a time when the world is living a dangerous state of succession, overlap, and acceleration of crises. The Arab world is not immune to these crises, but in the midst of them, it is forced to deal with their consequences and events, not least the effects of the war in Ukraine and the Covid-19 pandemic, and the economic slowdown and turmoil in the markets. Supply chains and serious challenges, particularly on Arab food security, the energy crisis, and the unprecedented rise in inflation.

The topics of the issue address emerging challenges in global trade and the options and opportunities available to the Arab economy. It also focuses on the issue of food security and the transport and logistics sector in the Arab countries, which occupies great importance and its development, is the cornerstone of Arab economic development and integration. It analyzes salient variables in the global economy and identifies the requirements for promoting entrepreneurship in the Arab world. It also highlights ITU's experience in achieving Sustainable Development Goals.

We hope that the intensity of the crises will recede so that the global economy can catch its breath and restore recovery to its previous state.
