The Chinese Ministry of Commerce revealed that China remained the largest trade partner of Arab countries during the first quarter of this year, especially in the fields of investment and infrastructure.
The value of bilateral trade between China and Arab countries reached 134.86 billion dollars during the period between January and April this year, an increase of 2.1 percent year on year, as 17 Arab countries witnessed growth in their trade with China, and 9 of them recorded a growth of more than 15 percent of their trade with China.
Mutual investment between the two sides continued to increase in the same period, with China injecting $980 million in direct investment into all sectors in Arab countries, up 2.9 percent year-on-year.
