Qatar's merchandise trade balance achieved a surplus during the first two months of this year amounting to 35.6 billion riyals. Total exports amounted to 59.1 billion riyals, while imports amounted to 23.5 billion riyals.
During January 2024, the value of Qatar's total exports (which includes exports of local origin and re-exports) amounted to approximately QAR 30.9 billion, a decrease of 9.1 percent compared to January 2023 data, and an increase of 5.7 percent compared to December 2023.
The value of merchandise imports increased during January 2024 to reach about QAR 13.4 billion, an increase of 38.3 percent, compared to January 2023 data, and an increase of 28.0 percent compared to December 2023.
