The monthly statistical bulletin issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) showed that assets increased by about 60.7 billion riyals ($16 billion) in July compared to the same period last year, reaching 1.910 trillion riyals ($509 billion). However, central bank assets decreased by 46.8 billion riyals ($12 billion) compared to June 2025.
SAMA’s data showed that the Kingdom’s reserve assets fell to 1.665 trillion riyals ($443.7 billion) in July, compared to 1.698 trillion riyals ($452.5 billion) in the same month last year, marking a 1.9 percent decline. Meanwhile, the item “foreign currency and deposits abroad” increased by 3.2 percent, reaching 602.5 billion riyals ($160.5 billion) in July, compared to 584 billion riyals ($155.6 billion) last year.
