The Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Samir Abdullah Nass, discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the Kingdom of Bahrain, residing in Riyadh, Mjobo David Magabe, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as trade cooperation and economic partnerships.
Samir Nass praised the distinguished relations between Bahrain and South Africa, pointing to the promising opportunities to boost trade exchange, particularly in the fields of food security and pharmaceuticals. He explained that the trade exchange volume between the two countries reached 95.3 million US dollars up to 2024. He emphasized the Bahraini private sector’s keenness to expand trade to broader horizons, stressing that opening direct routes between the two countries would significantly stimulate trade, tourism, and partnerships.
For his part, Ambassador Mjobo David Magabe expressed optimism about enhancing trade cooperation and economic partnerships, stressing the importance of available opportunities in key sectors, and pointing to Bahrain’s strategic location at the heart of the Gulf Cooperation Council as a gateway to regional and international markets.
