He pointed out that Egypt’s recent hosting of peace talks and gathering world leaders, and today the inauguration of this great civilizational landmark, reflect the dynamism Egypt is experiencing under President El-Sisi’s leadership.

Dr. Khaled Hanafy added that the Union of Arab Chambers, which represents the Arab private sector in Arab countries as well as 16 joint Arab-foreign chambers, views this opening as an inspiring model for how culture and heritage can be employed in the service of the economy, investment, and tourism.

He affirmed that the Arab private sector is a key partner in the development journey taking place in the Arab region under wise governments, and that investing in culture and tourism, as exemplified by the Grand Egyptian Museum, opens wide opportunities for the private sector to enhance joint investments, create new job opportunities, and develop sustainable economies based on knowledge, creativity, and civilizational identity.
