Inflation Growth in the Sultanate of Oman 2.8 Percent

The inflation rate in the Sultanate of Oman grew by 2.8 percent in 2022, as the consumer price index recorded 109.7 points, compared to 106.7 points in 2021.

According to the price indices bulletin issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information in the Sultanate, the main groups in 2022 witnessed increases in different rates. The prices of housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels rose by 1.1 percent, transportation by 3.9 percent, food and beverages by 5.2 percent, and clothing and shoes by 1.3 percent.
