Oman's rankings improve in global competitiveness indicators

The Sultanate of Oman has achieved remarkable progress in a number of international indicators. In 2024, it advanced 20 places in the Corruption Perceptions Index, ranking 50th globally out of 180 countries.

According to the National Competitiveness Office of the Omani Ministry of Economy, the Sultanate advanced more than 90 places in the Environmental Performance Index, ranking 55th globally. It also advanced four places in the Networked Readiness Index, ranking 50th out of 133 countries.

According to the office's data, Oman's score in economic freedom rose from 62.9 points to 65.4 points out of 100.
