The Arab British Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Embassy of Libya in the United Kingdom, is organizing a webinar entitled: “Opportunities in Libya”, to be held on July 28, 2021.

The prospects for economic recovery in Libya have grown significantly with the installation of an interim government and the expected influx of investment. The Libyan economy is expected to witness significant GDP growth in the next few years as a result of stabilization, rebuilding infrastructure and resuming oil production.

Recent high-level ministerial and trade discussions between Libyan counterparts and the UK have highlighted several areas of potential productive cooperation, namely renewable energy, diversification of non-oil sectors, development of free zones and other key sectors.

Mr Ezuldeen Alkaryouy, Head of investment promotion and international cooporation, General Authority of Investment Promotion and Privatisation in Libya, will speak at the symposium. The discussions will be chaired by The Rt Hon Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean, Chairman, The Arab British Chamber of Commerce. There will also be a speech for Mr Bandar Reda, Secretary General & CEO, The Arab British Chamber of Commerce.
