The second edition of the Arab International Conference and Exhibition for Small and Medium Industries (SMEX Algeria) will be held from 8–10 February 2026 at the Palais des Expositions, Algiers, under the theme: “Smart Manufacturing: Enhancing Competitiveness and Innovation.”
The event is organized by the Arab Union for the Development of Industrial Exports (AUIED) and the Algerian Company for Exhibitions and Exports (SAFEX), under the generous patronage of His Excellency the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, and the League of Arab States, in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Small and Medium Industries of Algeria, Algerian Agency for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Algerian Stock Exchange for Handling and Partnership, the Union of Algerian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as relevant Arab and international organizations.
The conference aims to support the efforts of Arab governments in general and Algeria in particular to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through the exchange of information and expertise.
The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition of products from Arab SMEs, promoting smart manufacturing and highlighting the integration of artificial intelligence, information and communication technologies, machine learning, and advanced technologies to enhance manufacturing processes, support the competitiveness of Arab products and services, connect them to global value chains, and help them enter new markets.
Participants will include entrepreneurs, SME owners, economic and investment experts, policymakers from around the world, Arab SME development agencies, and Arab, African, and international trade development organizations, with the goal of fostering connections between leading Algerian and Arab entrepreneurs in key sectors and their international counterparts.
