The Gulf Arab economies will grow over the next two years as governments boost their public spending, Reuters said, excluding the return of growth to boom levels before oil prices fell in 2014.
According to Reuters, Saudi Arabia's GDP will grow 2% this year and 2.5% in 2019 and 3% in 2020, while growth in the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar is expected to accelerate in 2019 and continue to rise or maintain that level in 2020. UAE's GDP is expected to rise 3.1% next year and 3.5% in 2020 after rising 2.5% this year.
Bahrain and Oman are not expected to rise in growth next year as Bahrain's GDP growth is expected to decline to 2.8% next year, 2.6% in 2020 from 2.9% this year, and Oman's growth will decline to 3 and 2.7 percent from 3.1 percent.
