Samir Nass meets with the President of the Federation of Lebanese Chambers, Mohamad Choucair: Creating Joint Business Partnerships between the Arab Private Sector

The Head of the Economic Bodies, the Former Minister, Muhamad Choucair, welcomed the President of the Union of Arab Chambers and the President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Samir Nass, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Union, Khaled Hanafi. They discussed means of developing and activating joint economic action between the Arab countries and enhancing cooperation between the Arab private sector.

At the outset of the meeting, Choucair welcomed the guest, and stressed that the economic bodies give priority to strengthening joint Arab economic cooperation, stressing, “This matter constitutes one of the main pillars for achieving sustainable development in various Arab countries."

Choucair pointed out "In the Arab countries, there are many diverse and promising opportunities, and we, as the Federation of Arab Chambers and as an Arab private sector, must cooperate and communicate with each other in order to invest in and develop them. Because this will inevitably lead to the development of economies and local communities, the creation of job opportunities, and the improvement of the social situation."

Choucair also stressed "The importance of developing cooperation between the Lebanese and Bahraini private sectors by activating communication and joint meetings to identify available opportunities in both countries and to set a roadmap for the development of joint economic relations."

For his part, Samir Nass praised the efforts made by Choucair, if in Lebanon, to enhance the resilience of the Lebanese private sector and the national economy, and to preserve private institutions and the business community. Moreover, if it was in the direction of strengthening joint Arab economic cooperation, he noted in this context the permanent visits that Choucair makes at the head of Lebanese economic delegations to Arab countries.

Nass emphasized, “The need to increase communication, cooperation, and meetings in order to explore opportunities and to explore the possibility of creating joint business partnerships between the Arab private sector.” Stressing "the need to strengthen cooperation between the Lebanese and Bahraini private sectors and start a stage of cooperation that is beneficial for the two countries and their peoples."

At the end of the meeting, Choucair presented the guest with the Medal of the Federation of Lebanese Chambers and the book of the Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, the guest as well presented Choucair with a souvenir.
