Recent data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics showed that Egypt ranked fifth globally in expatriate remittances during the year 2021, recording an average annual increase of about $ 10.1 billion during the last 6 years.
According to the report, Egypt ranked fifth in total remittances from abroad with a value of $ 32 billion, after India, which recorded about $ 89 billion, Mexico, which ranked second with a value of $ 54 billion, then China in third place with a value of $ 53 billion, and the Philippines in fourth place with a value of $ 37 billion.
