Discussions between the Syrian Chambers of Commerce and German Development Agency

President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Alaa Omar Al-Ali, discussed with Tanja Lohmann, Director of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Syria, ways and mechanisms to enhance cooperation between the two sides. The discussions also addressed good governance and the reality of vocational education and its development in Syria, as well as the contribution and role of the German Agency in supporting it through increasing qualifications and training, diversifying specializations, and developing the skills of young people, preparing them to enter the labor market with high efficiency.

During the meeting, which took place at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce headquarters in Damascus, the Federation President highlighted the most important steps taken by the Federation of Chambers, including organizing and supervising its relationship with other chambers, cooperating between the public and private sectors, and restructuring the Federation with the aim of strengthening its role in formulating policies that are compatible with economic developments, supporting development plans, the business community, and productive projects, in addition to the Federation's role in investment projects.
