The Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Faisal Al-Rawas, called on business leaders in Oman and Iraq for “broader cooperation and joint projects that enhance the prosperity of both countries and meet their aspirations for growth.”

His remarks came during the Oman-Iraq Business Meeting, held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, in the southwest of Oman, as part of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani’s visit to the Sultanate.

Al-Rawas noted that “trade exchange between the two countries has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, reflecting the strength of growing economic cooperation and the depth of existing commercial partnerships.” He stressed that “this cooperation supports market diversification and provides qualitative opportunities across multiple sectors, including industry, food security, tourism, energy, and logistics.” He emphasized that “the private sector is capable of turning these opportunities into tangible investment projects.”
