UAE Banks’ Assets Near 5 Trillion Dirhams

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates revealed in its report titled “Monetary and Banking Developments for June 2025” that total banking assets increased by 1.9 percent, from AED 4.878 trillion at the end of May 2025 to AED 4.973 trillion at the end of June 2025.

During the first half of the year, banking assets rose by 9.07 percent, or AED 413 billion, compared to AED 4.560 trillion at the end of December 2024.

Total banking deposits grew by 0.9 percent, increasing from AED 3.018 trillion at the end of May 2025 to AED 3.045 trillion at the end of June 2025. This growth was mainly attributed to a 1.7 percent increase in resident deposits, which reached AED 2.78 trillion, offsetting a 7.2 percent decline in non-resident deposits, which fell to AED 257.2 billion.
