The United Arab Emirates maintained its lead in the Arab world in the 2025 Global Innovation Index, issued by the World Intellectual Property Organization and Portulans Institute, advancing to 30th place globally among 139 economies included in the ranking, marking its best performance since being listed in the index. Saudi Arabia ranked 46th globally, followed by Qatar at 48th. Morocco continued its progress, ranking 57th, while Bahrain came in 62nd and Jordan 65th globally.
Globally, Switzerland retained the top spot, followed by Sweden in second and the United States in third. South Korea ranked fourth, achieving a historic advancement, while Singapore placed fifth.
