The World Bank estimated the cost of reconstruction in Syria at around $216 billion after more than 13 years of conflict that drained the economy and caused extensive destruction.

According to the World Bank, the cost of rebuilding Syria after more than 13 years of war is estimated at about $216 billion, based on an assessment covering the period from 2011 to 2024.

The conflict that began in 2011, according to the report, caused damage equivalent to about one-third of Syria’s total pre-war capital stock.
