Bahrain Strengthens Its Tourism Strategy amid a 35% Investment Surge

Bahrain’s Minister of Tourism, Fatima Al Sairafi, confirmed that the Kingdom continues to solidify its position as a leading maritime and cultural tourism destination in the region, driven by its 2022–2026 tourism strategy focused on increasing tourism’s contribution to GDP and expanding partnerships with the private sector.

Al Sairafi noted that “the sector currently contributes around 6.8% to GDP, while tourism revenues grow annually between 12% and 20%, and overnight visitor numbers have risen by 16%.”

She revealed that tourism investments in Bahrain increased by 35% in 2025 compared to 2024.
