Beijing received 184 million tourists during the first half of this year, an increase of 7.1 percent year-on-year. Tourism revenues reached 338.17 billion yuan, up by 8.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to the Beijing Cultural and Tourism Development Report 2025 issued by Beijing Foreign Studies University, by the end of July 2025, food and beverage services had been fully expanded across the city’s cultural and tourist venues, with 304 new restaurants established. The city has also developed several model cultural and tourism consumption complexes.
Beijing organized more than 29,000 commercial performances that attracted over 6.97 million attendees during the first half of this year, with ticket revenues exceeding 2.3 billion yuan.
