UAE Economy Continues to Grow in 2025

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) revealed in its annual report that the UAE’s economic growth will continue in 2025, as evidenced by Abu Dhabi’s 3.4 percent year-on-year growth in the first quarter.

The non-oil sector maintained strong momentum, expanding by 6.1 percent year-on-year in the first quarter. The manufacturing sector — representing about 17 percent of the non-oil economy — grew by 5 percent year-on-year, up from 0.6 percent in the last quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, construction grew by 10.2 percent.

According to OPEC, growth in the financial and insurance sector — accounting for about 12 percent of the non-oil economy — accelerated to 9.1 percent, up from 6 percent in the previous quarter.
