A new analysis by the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies, titled “Artificial Intelligence vs. Humans,” has revealed alarming findings about the future of employment in Egypt in the coming years.

While the world is racing to adopt AI technologies, the impact of this transformation is now clearly visible in Egypt—not only in factories or tech companies, but even in offices and administrative departments.

The analysis showed a decline in demand for administrative and clerical jobs during the third quarter of 2025, alongside a slight increase in demand for blue-collar skilled and professional roles. It identified four key professions under threat in both the Egyptian and global markets: accounting, journalism and media, technical support and call centers, and tourism and services. Despite these concerning figures, the analysis noted that AI does not eliminate jobs entirely but rather redistributes tasks and reshapes roles.
